The Gods Must Be Crazy
Here is the one film that we thought we’d never have the chance to discuss in the Diabolical Penthouse… it looks like dreams do come true. We’re sure most of you probably have never heard of this little 80’s gem, but for Team Diabolical, the film brings back many great memories. We urge you to at least take a look at the clip below… your interest will be piqued, we assure you. In any event, one thing is for sure, you’ll never look at a coke bottle the same way again.

Charles Fort
Any conversation on the paranormal, including unexplainable objects raining from the sky, send our minds directly to Charles Fort. His dogged pursuit for answers took him around the world; and, like a Fox Mulder for the early 1900’s, if frogs were falling from the sky, you could rest assured, Mr. Fort was never far away.

Ducktales – My dope this week was triggered by Disney’s announcement of an all new Ducktales animated show starting in 2017. It’s no secret that I grew up during the Disney Afternoon era… and if you’re not familiar with that term, it only represents the very best after school block of animation in television history (to put it mildly). Ducktales was certainly a childhood favorite and I’m not too ashamed to admit that I still enjoy the occasional episode to this day. While there’s certainly room for this reboot to completely suck, something tells me we’re going to be in for a treat. The very notion of going back to Duckburg once again as my dopamine on high. Enjoy a heavy dose of nostalgia with the show’s original opening down below.

Alien/Aliens – As I’ve reached a higher appreciation for the creative process and social commentary, I’ve taken a journey back into the genre of scifi/horror with the Alien franchise. Not since my impressionable youth have I scrutinized a Xenomorph and the films that have inspired a generation of science fiction’s darkest minds. My dope took me into deep space where I defy you not to clench your jaw during a face hugger scene.
