I am one half of Team Diabolical. Electronic music has been a part of my life since I had a Walkman listening to ‘Eye of the Tiger’ on repeat to watching the best DJs in the world spin night after night in my 20s… so why not bring it to 30 Minutes of Diabolical a pop culture/synthwave soundscape?  Music has the ability to elevate us mortals and in the Diabolical Penthouse we have explored new horizons year after year.

What’s my favorite pod chat? That’s a tough question, we really hit our groove in Vol. 4, but if I have to put my hands to the fire – I really enjoy ‘The War of 1989‘

As the other half of Team Diabolical, my fascination with pop culture, music, and the development of an inquisitive mind largely stems from conversations and influences passed down by my father. He introduced me to The Twilight Zone, a show that sparked the realization that pop culture can be a powerful tool for exploring deeper questions and seeking meaning in life’s journey. My father was also a music enthusiast with an extensive collection of records and 8-tracks; he had a playlist for every occasion and event. I still vividly recall the soundtracks to our family vacations when I was younger – hearing a song from those trips brings back wonderful memories. Enter 30 Minutes of Diabolical, an experience that emulates my longing for stimulating conversations draped around memorable soundscapes… and of course choice beverages.

A favorite chat? That really is a hard one, as there have been many great conversations in the Penthouse. If pressed, however, ‘Call Me Nemo‘ is a great listen.
