Kraven The Hunter

Released to the world in 1964’s issue of Amazing Spider-Man #15, Kraven the Hunter has proven to be quite the adversary for Spider-Man over the years. Developed by the talented team of Stan Lee and Steve Ditko, Kraven has a rather intriguing design that certainly doesn’t run short on flash and testosterone. Our favorite Kraven story comes from 1987’s “Kraven’s Last Hunt” storyline. In it, we see Kraven dawn the Spider-Man costume and fill-in (so to speak) for everyone’s favorite web-head; we’re given a much darker, violent Spider-Man, as you might well imagine. The story encapsulates everything that is great about the Kraven character. If you’ve yet to read it, try and hunt down the trade. It’s essential Kraven reading material.

Predator (1987)

“Get to the Choppa!” If we’re talking movies about epic hunts, Predator easily lands at the top spot. This film sees Arnold Schwarzenegger play a game of cat and mouse with the universe’s greatest hunter, the “Predator” alien. If you’re looking for an action packed, emotional hunt, Predator will deliver in spades. Arnold is at his absolute best and the film is a fun ride from start to finish. Step back into the 80’s for a bit and enjoy the thrill of the hunt.

The Most Dangerous Game (1924)

In 1924 Richard Connell introduced the world to his twisted hunt- A novel that still inspires creative minds to this day.  The title is on point as one man hunts another in a game of death and sport.  It has been brought to the large and small screen in many iterations but if this novel finds you, as it did us, you’ll know why it still resonates with Team Diabolical.
