– Show Notes –
The Simpsons is filled with many classic character archetypes, and while it’s hard for Team Diabolical to choose a favorite, Groundskeeper Willie is certainly toward the top of the list. Willie has long been a go to character for comic relief and, in our opinion, the episodes where he is spotlighted are instant classics. Without Willie’s impeccable delivery of those “Shinning” lines, arguably the most recognized Treehouse of Horror episode might not be nearly as memorable. We tip our caps to the Angry Scot and look forward to more “Willie’s time.”
If you have a mind for conspiracies, quixotic analysis (and Netflix and chill is your game), the award-winning documentary Room 237 is beckoning you. Decide for yourself if the masterpiece The Shining was Stanely Kubrick’s veiled message to cinema fans for countless generations to discover. Is your diabolical mind even ready for those truths? We raise our glasses to those that enter “Room 237.”
This Week’s Dope
I normally don’t get too excited over phone apps… especially ones centered around music. However, Songza has changed the game just enough to obtain my intrigue. If the idea of having automatically generated playlists tailored to your current emotional state or chosen activity appeal to you, then I’d highly recommend downloading the Songza app. Choosing the Stargazing activity and having my ears bombarded with cosmic electronic soundscapes is quickly becoming an evening ritual. It’s free for Android and Iphone, so there’s really nothing to loose. Get lost in some music today. You’re welcome.
What is a collectable now? The market is saturated with so called action figures but not many are the HipHop Trooper, only 30 to be exact. Here in a few weeks some of pop culture’s boldest minds will be gathering in Los Angeles for Stan Lee’s Comikaze among them will be Cokreeate a rising 3D printing company and the aforementioned HipHop Trooper if you cross paths observe just how fast the custom 3D printed Hip Hop figures disappear. I have the under on 15 minutes. I raise my glass to the creators out of Alhambra, Ca. for a dynamic collaboration with one of the realest Cos-players out there. Cheers
